What's Next

If you have made a decision to follow Christ. Congratulations! You may be wondering what's next on your journey. We want to help you! Join us as we guide you toward your next steps with Christ.

Where does following Christ begin?

Our Sin

We are all born with a sin nature and our sin causes a great Chasm between us and God.

“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” Isaiah 59:2

God's Gift

God Sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross. Jesus gave His life as a sacrifice so that we could be forgiven .We can’t earn God’s forgiveness, it must be given.

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Our Response

We must accept this free gift from God by declaring with our mouth and believing in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead.

"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved".Romans 10: 9

Ready to make that choice now?

Here is a prayer: Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner and that I have messed up from time to time. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and that God raised Him from the dead. I choose to follow You, Jesus, and I confess that You are my savior. Thank you, Jesus, for saving me. I love You. Amen.

A Sign and Celebration of Your Faith.

Baptism shows others that you have been made new. It represents your old sinful life being washed clean because of your faith in Jesus.

We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. Romans 6:4

What do followers of Christ believe?

The Bible

We believe in the Bible as God’s only inspired, inerrant and authoritative revelation of Himself to man in written form,

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16,17

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit,

For there are three that testify:1 John 5:7

How do I grow in my faith?

Read the Bible

The Bible is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about living. It’s God’s Word written specifically to guide us through life.

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. Psalms 119:105

Pray

Make prayer apart of your everyday life. It's simply us talking to God and is a very important part of growth in our Christian faith.

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Ephesians 6:18

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

Listen

Talking to God isn’t a one-way street – He wants to talk to us, too. Take time to learn His voice and listen to His direction for you.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27

Worship

Worship is defined by the priority we place on who God is in our lives and where God is on our list of priorities. True worship is a matter of the heart expressed through a lifestyle of holiness. When we pray, serve, or help others in their faith, we are following God’s will and showing our gratitude for who He is

.Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship Romans 12:1

Share

Give

Give our time, talents, or financial gifts and see God's faithfulness show in your life.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! Malachi 3:10

Serve

God gave us all passions and gifts that He wants us to use. When we follow God with our actions, we point others toward Him. Transformation Church has plenty of serving opportunities for you.

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 1 Peter 4:10
